You should wait for the GTX 800 series tbh. They will be released in the last trimester i think.

This, or aim for a more powerful one, perhaps 2nd hand.

What is the wattage of your PSU? Spec? No point whapping a massive card in a core 2 duo machine ;)

Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz Socket 1155 6MB Cache Quad Core Processor overclocked to 4.3Ghz and a 850 watt PSU

Yeah firoz buy a 800,, why pay 300-500 quid of a gfx card when my 470 GTX can almost do the job good enough,, 100-125 quid gfx card please

You could stick anything in then more or less.

What's your monitor res, budget and idea of the games you wanna play on it (Metro games need a little more love than most ;))

The GTX 750ti is suprisingly powerful for the pricepoint if you are looking for something cheap. Some sample benchmarks:
DirectX 11 gaming performance: Frames per second: higher is better
    Sleeping Dogs:

    750 Ti: 50.1
    • R7 260X: 47.7
    • Radeon HD 7790: 47.6
    • 650 Ti 1GB: 42.0
    • 750 Ti Overclocked to 1169MHz: 52.6
    Tomb Raider (2013):

    TressFX disabled
    • 750 Ti: 65.9
    • R7 260X: 59.8
    • Radeon HD 7790: 60.4
    • 650 Ti 1GB: 57.2
    • 750 Ti Overclocked to 1169MHz: 68.7
    Metro Last Light:

Settings used: SSAA Enabled, PhysX Disabled
    • 750 Ti: 22
    • R7 260X: 18.46
    • Radeon HD 7790: 18.75
    • 650 Ti 1GB: 16.43
    • 750 Ti Overclocked to 1169MHz: 23
    Batman: Arkham Origins:

Settings used: MSAA 4X, Geometry DX11 Enhanced, Dynamic Shadows DX11 Enhanced, D.O.F. DX11 Enhanced, PhysX Disabled
    • 750 Ti: 59
    • R7 260X: N/A
    • Radeon HD 7790: N/A
    • 650 Ti 1GB: 53
    • 750 Ti Overclocked to 1169MHz: 61

As an upgrade from that and sticking to Nvidia cards I'd say skip the 760 and double down on a GTX 770, the MSI Twin Frozr cooling system really gets the best performance out of the card with GPU boost 2.0.

Hard to find good comparisson sides for old vs new cards:

Its a synthetic Benchmark Site so its not in game messurements: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=GeForce GTX 470

    A) You got some more time!
I would aim for the 800 Series to get 100% improved power. I own a 660 Ti and start to struggle allready on Ultra or High Quality! (Get a 860 or 860Ti if its released!!)

    B) No time but more money!
If you want to buy now you could go for GTX 770 (670 is no more) but thats 250€. Too much probably but would be close to +100% in Power.

    C) Not time and no money! You suck and your card will suck too in 6 month latest! :D
Low Budget buy would be GTX 760 but its roughly 40% faster then your 470 (and 50% faster then a 750TI) but its nearly the same as my 660Ti so I would advice against it!

    D) Bonus Round! Free of charge!
If you want a ultra silent card go for an "ASUS ____ DIRECT CU II" The series is awesome and you wont hear it at all! Buy a new CPU Fan cause it will sound like a turbine after you got a Direct CU II ;)
