Which is a good version for a home pc?
Depends. 7 and 8 are both good but it depends on which you prefer. Most can be found for around £30 if you search the net. I recommend g2a.com as it will probably be the cheapest. Also remember to buy the 64bit version as its future proof more or less.
If your feeling brave you could try windows 10 for free for a few months
Does 8.1 fix the start menu and stuff, also any need for premium home or professional?
If its for gaming 64bit home edition is fine. but if the price difference is small go for pro. 8.1 fixes a lot of problems and is equal to 7.
8.1 comes with a free rubber cock to stick up your butt so I have heard.
3.1.1,,, its been downhill ever since.
8.1 is fine in that it boots fast, runs stable and Steam works on it. If it's a PC the "tiles" stuff is irritating, but you can mostly avoid it.
Should be an option to turn it off but it's not that bad.
Overall 8.1 is your best bet as it'll be supported for longest etc.
And I bet it'll boot fast on my Aorus X3
I use windows 8.1 but with a shell extension called http://www.classicshell.net/, this gives you the speed of 8.1 but the good old windows 7 start menu
Hmmm to buy 8 or wait for 10.
Pirate 8 and buy 10 ;p
Does daz still exist
