WarZ, not what it seems.

So I just saw this on Reddit, if you're tempted or are thinking of trying WarZ you might want to read this and then make up your mind.

Personally I'm steering clear of WarZ and just waiting for the DayZ standalone which seems to be heading in the right direction.

Apparently so, probably not many if not none from here but I know a few people who've actually bought/pre-ordered the game.

I'm actually shocked that anyone on these forums would be even slightly tempted to buy WarZ, and that's prior to your post Angelo. I think most of us assumed pretty much what's written in that article. Rushed, poor quality, DayZ Rip OFF, trading on the huge buzz around DayZ.

If it's not based on the Arma2/Arma3 Engine it will be inferior. So I assumed most here were just laughing at WarZ's nerve to blatantly rip off DayZ and any of it's gullible followers.

Still good to know it's probably worse than I expected with it being setup from the start as potential Vapourware, trying to scam peoples pre orders.

I myself was just laughing and made me feel quite smug after I had told them that was going to be shit and to just wait for DayZ, this sort of confirmed it. but it was mostly just a little warning to anyone who thinks it might have been worth trying.

I was also 100% sure at the start they said it would be Free 2 play, with a cash shop but apparently its both buy2play and cash shop, alarm bells were ringing everywhere.

From what I know it's going to be F2P when it comes out, you can buy the game now to get to be a "founder" of the game and get your moneys worth amount of ingame currency and some titles and shit... thats what i've read and heard.

P.S. The smae thing is going on with Mechwarrior Online, Firefall etc. etc. Quite popular model it seems.

Sorry pal, but this is the wrong game. Like in a real-world, post apocalyptic scenario, your money will mean much less than your natural survival skills, training and wits.
