Has this piece of art been released in any country that you know of yet? Give links if so please.

Apart from the godly Ipad 2 and the Asus EEE Pad Transformer has anyone had the pleasure of working with a tablet that he feels is worth mentioning?

aahhh nice i was hoping some of our brainiak guildies would respond to this thread.
Indeed the Ipad has the biggest share of the market and to be honest i really dont care about that since this has nothing to do with the most important issue when it comes to tablets which is connectivity.
Although i like Mac's and have an Imac this is the case where i dont wanna have to slip stuff in my tablet via ITunes.
The transformer(by using a dock) and the Toshiba Thrive(stand alone) have Usb2 and mini Usb ports and since they dont use MacOs they are as easy to fill with goodies(movies, musix, photos, e-books) as a normal pc.
The biggest advantage of the Ipad is it's screen. The technology behind it is from another planet basically. No other tablet can scroll as smoothly as the Ipad but apart from that hardware wise the ipad is as good as the rest.

Heard a lot of good things about the eee pad.

The eee pad is indeed really good.I played with it yesterday and it was ultra responsive.
It's disadvantages are just 2 in my opinion,
    1) Connectivity since it has to be sitting on its dock in order to have a Usb port available and
    2) As we say in Greece "It farts" or fails if you prefer when you play a 720p or 1080p clip.

Reason number 1 is why the Toshiba Thrive is better in my opinion since it has a Usb and a Mini Usb port without the use of a docking area.
I have no idea though how the Toshiba performs with a HD video clip though. I do know that the Ipad 2 plays HD clips no prob.

With a dedicated graphical chip (nVidia Tegra 2), i doubt it will have any problem.

Well the majority of the Android Honeycomb tablets are running Tegra 2. I can't really understand why the eee pad couldn't play 720p files yet the toshiba thrive could?

i prefer standards :p anyway, its not a flash issue or whatever. the ipad is simply better built, it gets lots of users, has the best apps etc... its a snowball effect.

I've not missed flash on my iPhone, but if I was to want a tablet (fuck knows why I would) I'd have to have flash capable. Apple piss me off with their closed system too, that's why I jailbroke my iPhone. I only got one because the hardware is superb and Hardware > Software for me.
