    Fight with the wife?
She needs bra's, sanitary napkins, make-up, parfum, special douchegel,...
    You only need a pc.
Make the count, it's fair enough! :D

Not to shit on your parade, but I wouldn't put a 5400rpm drive in a gaming system, it will bottleneck you in some games for sure.
    Everything else looks nice though.

It will marginally bottleneck loading, but a higher reliability than 7200rpm

It's a real minor bottleneck tbh. But If you want to max min, grab an ssd for your game of choice.

To be honest, just get a 20 GB intel SSD and speed up the whole 2TB with it. Cheapest solution and you keep the size.

Use Intel Smart Response with the Intel SSD 311 20GB. Think the price is around 80 quid, well worth it.

It is quite a reasonable difference.

    I'd go from 2TB 5400, to 1TB 7200. ( same price pretty much ).

I doubt you'd fill the drive up anyway unless you don't delete torrents after you use them :p

You virtually, apart from the mobo have the same settings as me. Runs everthing so far at max settings without missing a beat. I take it the processor will be overclocked to 4.5ghz?

Same, my 3 or 4 TB harddrives of media are going to get me caught someday

    @Shantotto

I really wasn't expecting anything out of this hard drive besides its major capacity 2TB, but I was really blow away by how fast this drive is I have seen transfer speeds of up too 42mb per sec on a 6gb file and 32mb on about 1000 pictures about 9mb each.

FOR PEOPLE WHO WOULD WANT BENCHMARKS WITH COMPARISON.

    And This...

Don't worry about the 5400rpm spin speed, this thing is fast (due to the higher data density). I've got a C: partition with Win7 on, and the rest for recorded TV and movies in a Media Center PC.

Its spin is nice and quiet, but the seek noise was a bit clattery at first. However, I downloaded the free trial version of HDTune and used that to set the drive to its quietest mode. This change seemed to make little or no difference to the speed tests too. This changed it from thudding to just tinkling noises. Then the HDTune can be uninstalled, as the change is then permanent - so need to pay for the software.

I really can't fault this drive in any way - fast, huge, quiet and a very good price.

I do my reserch dude, especially if it's costing me money ;)

I doubt any of our hdds are worth a £30,000+ court case over a few torrents/newsgroups. Most cases are purely for show but i do think net providing companies will be targeted more and more from now on.

Also did anyone hear that "imagine" film torrent bloke got arrested? maybe they are actually more interested in the actual providers of torrents more than downloaders?

well that's a given, it's the major uploaders and the providers they'll be coming after. I upload basically nothing, it's set to 20kb/s capped upload on my BT client, and i remove torrents as soon as they finish. I'm just stealing 1 copy for personal use basically. The uploaders and providers are giving thousands the copy.
