Except the games controls were so shit I stopped playing after a frustrating hour. If it had come out on PC with real controls then I would agree. But having a good story is not enough to be GoTY IMO.
What did you not like about the controls? I felt all the buttons were in pretty sensible places and it played fine.
I guess if you are used to a controller then it would be fine, but that was my first ever shooter on a controller since MoH 1-2 for the PS1. For me, I died 5 times on the one mission in the docks because I couldn't aim fast enough. Not to mention the FoV was so tight that I felt nauseous after a few mins, and the graphics were so bad that I felt I had gone back about 10 years. All in all it was a reminder for me why Console games are so inferior as the hardware is so old now, and controls, while ideal for driving and 2D platforming, are utter shit for shooters.
Did any of you get a chance to try the HD rift at GC? If so how was it compared with the current dev kit? I heard they upped the resolution but lowered the FoV, but was there still motion blur and scan lines from the slow response times? Also did the HD kit improve VR sickness at all?
