TERA - Launcher Error Messages

Ok so to better organise things, try to keep all Launcher related error messages in this thread. As messages get added I'll update the OP, to allow for ease of use etc.

To start the ball rolling:



일시적인 로그인 오류로 인하여 로그인이 불가능한 니다.
이용에 불편을 드려서 죄송합니다, 잠시 후다시 로그인 해 주세요.

"A problem occurred reaching the login server, you are unable to login at the moment. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused please try again later."

Several things I can suggest:

1) run Terainvoker as administrator (also run it directly from the TERA_HG folder)
2) do not login to the launcher until the client has finished downloading.
3) if you get this error again click the right button on the popup and then click the little grey button at the bottom of the launcher window (check files)

I had a similar problem after my download (did you use a mirror site or the hangame official download?), and it will eventually download the non-corrupt files that are causing the problem (could be more than 1, error message each time you get a corrupt file).

Yeh I had this problem with last weeks patch, all sorted now after persevering with just restarting/checking files after every error (it would error on different files) .

One other thing to note is the TERA_HG\S1game folder should be 28gigs (ish) at one point mine was 47gigs and I had to clear out a load of .part files to get rid of the errors!

Are you running as an Administrator (Win7 and Vista)?

It seems they have adjusted their compression ratio's (or moved files from one folder to another ). My S1game folder is currently 21.8gb and working

Yeh, Vista and Win7 have huge issues when it comes to allowing games to update themselves from a standard user account - this is the reason why Blizzard moved WoW from program files to shared games a few years ago, to stop all the UAC nonsense that comes with Vista and now Win7.

@Gustavo, one other thing you should probably do is turn off any AV or Firewall software you are using while the launcher updates itself, i know this has been known to mess up installs in the past as well (Aion).

Are you getting the error when its checking the files or downloading?

All i can suggest is to persevere, close launcher, reopen, check files etc - it will get there, with one of my installs it error'd out about a dozen times

Well there seems to be very little up to date and accurate information translated to English for TERA and to be honest, all us English speakers playing on the KR servers should be helping each other out. If you have questions just make a thread and ask or read the TERA forums here to see if it's already been asked.
