I seriously hope they keep the Thor and don't make it a special "you can only make one" unit like they said they would at BlizzCon. We already have this "you can only make one" mechanic on the mothership, and we ALWAYS see loads of them in EVERY game.... Loving that they dropped the shredder and the replicant. Shredder did sound really OP and I just didn't like the replicant as it just didn't sound right to have a unit that could transform into any other unit in the enemy army. Creep spreading Nydus sounds insane though, looking forward to see how that works out, if it ever does.
They are removing the Mothership, Aspira. I personally like the one Thor change. Now I only need some powerful anti-air on Zerg and we'll be unstoppable. I'm sensing the Swarm creeping forward with Broodlords and Hydras, just tanking errything.
Having a one only available unit is the bane of rts games for me. I still shudder at c&c, when you had too take one operative and avoid tanks, one shot nod soldiers and the blow up a building. I remember being stuck on that mission for ages. All I wanted to do in c&c was build my army and turtle across the map to victory.
I have a lot on my mind atm, moving house etc. silly mistakes make me look silly Yea I know they are removing the mothership, but I am using it as a point. Mothership is hardly used and to take the thor, which is a common unit, and turn it into one of these "one of a kind special units" is a bit of a silly idea imo. They should just remove one off special units from the game. I like the mothership a lot though and I am sad to see it go, but I would rather the mothership got removed and it meant we would never see these "one off units" in the game again.
But Motherships were finally seeing their destined use: Being fucking OP. Kiwikaki comes to mind. I also use the Mothership often when I offrace. It's such a sleeper it isn't even funny. Come on, Recall is the strongest friggin' ability in the game, both offensively and defensively. As for one off units in general... I like them. I wish we had more of them. I loved the idea of a Queen as a central unit... They add an extra excitement and depth to the game, because when a mothership is out you know you have to take it out unless you want an army recalling in the middle of a winning engagement. I don't know, but they also seem like perfect excitementtools.
Gaylord. This better not; A) Affect your LoL commitments. B) Make you go "I have beta trolololol" on TS
