We have 1 in the guild,, and I was considering swapping to it due to us basically having none, I played one in beta and it was bit very annoying and very good fun I couldn't decide!
All the sniper vids I've seen are people trying to kill people at the max 35m which is all wrong. This dude like, runs in, shivs, grenade stuns then loads up cover like a BAWZ in the middle of a crowd and just smashes everything to pieces..... <3 it!
yeah, this is "the only" class that annoyed me in warzones, (also jedi shadow annoyed me in Huttball) i am playing a melee DPS, first time i saw a sniper, i did not know what can they do, so i just kept running to him (cant charge him cuz he is behind cover), by the time i reached him i lost 90% of my health, they do serious dmg. in 1v1 situations i need cpl of cool-downs(Potion, shield, cc breaker,...etc) to counter their combo (cc followed by nuke attack), else i end up loosing badly. the one thing i learned from beta, is to never fight them over a bridge, cuz you get cced, they run to your left/right side, and knock you back to fall from bridge and die. i still didnt watch the videos above, but i am sure you will see some of the moves i mentioned.
played a Sniper to lvl 30 earlier this summer. Cover was still kinda iffy, so it was a bit boring to level. i barely did any PvP on it but seeing on how it looks now im really wanting to roll one. QQ im going Rep.
almost all snipers i played against are deploying their covers in middle of battle. at 9:00 of the above voidstar PVP video, i saw snipers deploy their covers right in front of bridge and cc the attackers and then run to them and knock them down from the bridge to their death, or let a jedi do their aoe knock back on the attackers while they are mass cced. have to say, watching these videos make me think about re-rolling to any ranged class, playing a melee is kinda annoying cuz you have to be in front and get all the stuns, snares, nukes etc...
well, if anyone in his vids had any clue he'd be dead faster then he could say cake, and hes pretty much the only one there wearing any sort of gear most of them are just standing around like chipmunks
I'm playing 1 as an alt, but with the amount of Sith Inquisitors we have I may swap and have my SI as my alt and play the IA as my main, (Sniper ofc).
