We're gonna pull some old games out of the closet or download them digitally really cheap just to play them Coop for a bit of nostalgia etc. So anyone else who is reasonably bored or just wants to revisit old games by playing them cooperatively? Most of the games are made compatible when you download them digitally here (Good Old Games): http://www.gog.com/en If you cba paying for your old games again then there's usually patches all over the place that usually get stuff working again, for ex. DOOM: http://www.zdaemon.org/.I'd be happy to add some more to the list and even games I've never played yet I'd be happy to try. Found a nice list (+ added some more myself) from http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/95474-25-coop-missions-games-list-massively-online-games . I may have to weed out some that don't work with Online Coop (just LAN). Hack & Slash RPGs ------------------------ Diablo Diablo II Nox Dungeon Siege Dungeon Siege 2 D&D RPG games ------------------- Neverwinter Nights Icewind Dale + Icewind Dale II Baulder's Gate + Baulder's Gate II Shooters ------------------- Blood 1 and 2 Hexen 2 Rainbow Six (Has Co-op missions and Terrorist Hunt) Ghost Recon (Has Co-op missions and Terrorist Hunt) R6 Lockdown Hidden and Dangerous Hidden and Dangerous 2: Sabre Squadron (MUST HAVE SABRE SQUAD EXPANSION TO BE COOP ) Serious Sam 1 and 2 Delta Forces ( a little slow) Unreal (only the first one was co-op) Operation Flashpoint Aliens vs Preditor 1 ( it doesnt support newest nvidia cards anymore, (guess I can have a look for mods) RTS ------------------- Age of Empires plus exp Age of Empires II plus exp Age of Mythology plus exp Age of Empires III Stronghold Stronghold Crusader Myth 2 Soulblighter Space Sim ------------------ Freelancer Freespace 2 (There's tons of mods for this one, including multiplayer ones and Freespace 1 upgrades. It looks like a game out of 2010 with these) Link: http://scp.indiegames.us/
There's mods that enable higher resolutions for atleast BG and NWN/Icewind Dale. I'll look them up and add some links. The Widescreen Mod allows Planescape:Torment, Baldur's Gate: Tales of the sword Coast, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn, Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal, Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter and Icewind Dale II for BG: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/baldur_s_gate/widescreen_mod/page1 will look smth like this at 1920x1080: http://www.gog.com/upload/forum/2010/09/cf734b832b279c475c040c515756aab7f2780c2c.jpg I think NWN already supports higher resolutions EDIT: shame I cant edit the poll to add some more games, oh well.
Cool, I remember installing D2 when I got my 24" monitor the first time and was like "fuck that" when it loaded. There is probably a mod for that too which would be pretty sweet.
omg I used to play freespace... completely forgot what it was called until now You forgot Stronghold/Stronghold Crusader!
Found some bigger resolution mod for D2 http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16131 Download link http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/downloads/D2MultiRes-v102.zip Single Player only! (as high ress gives you a huge advantage over others in MP) EDIT: added Stronghold You meant Myth 2 Soulblighter: The Seventh God coop? I'll add it aswell http://projectmagma.net/downloads/
Most ppl should have some D2 copy lying around. Dibs for barbarian! D2, the only game where its officially FUN to "tank".
oeh found a nice site with most games on it, noticed Mechwarrior 4 has coop too http://www.co-optimus.com/system.php?id=4&page=5 Total Annihilation coop with Bloody AI mod sounds like fun too.
At the moment I am concentrating on Uni work and any free time I get I am actually going to try and not be shit at Starcraft 2 anymore. Will probably still keep playing TERA every major patch too so wer have knowledge ahead of the EU release, but other than that its all uni work and SC2. Although.... if anyone is up for some SEGA megadrive co-op shit like MK1 and what not, that could be a laff.
Neverwinter Night 2 in coop would be nice, the game is quite recent and have nice content now with the DLC
I'd be totally up for that yea, will complete game by game if it were up to me. Sounds like a ton of fun tbh . Btw Specter, does Freelancer allow coop for the campaign aswell? (i've added it to the list regardless). I never got very far in freelancer, it never felt as epic as freespace to me but the RP elements were awesome so I'd gladly give it another go.
