So my contract is up in a month and I need to pick my new phone this week. For the contract I am on, I can get any phone currently on sale in the UK for free, so... anyone got any advice based on what phone they have etc. etc. ? I have had an HTC Desire for just under 2 years now and loved it. Thinking about taking the Samsung Galaxy S3 as my new one, but tbh, I am completely out of the loop on what the current best phones are, so any advice is welcomed. I use my phone mostly for phone (obviously), emails and internet. Rarely use it for games or streaming. Oh, and I don't want an iPhone, as I am a heterosexual. So any ideas ? Just got for an S3 ?
I've got a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and I couldn't fault it. Battery lasts me far longer than my old HTC Desire (even when it was new), screen is great, touch sensitivity perfect and haven't had a single problem with it. Jellybean on it.
If you like having the newest android version without rooting/flashing I'd go for a nexus. Otherwise I would say S3. Unless you want to dive into Windows 8 phones?
Nah, I don't really like the whole metro thing. Pretty much what I have read online is exactly what you said. Nexus and S3 are the top Androids atm with S3 being the more flashy option.
S3 or One X Personally went for one x and love it, but the s3 is pretty awesome too. Mostly about what looks you like and what brand as the specs are fairly similar.
Well I went into the phone shop this morning to check the sizes of them all and tbh, the S3 isn't that bad. It's about 1.5 times the size of my old Desire, so its not massively bigger. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy Note thing, fucking hell, it was huuuuuuuuuuge. Anyways, thanks for the replies and PMs, pretty sure I will get an S3.
Good call. Its a great phone, and as for size, I went from iPhone 3gs to one x and its fine after a few days.
I love my samsung wouldn't swap it for an iphone for anything .. I even used it to tether too for months I would recommend a samsung :3
