    Q. I heard that ArcheAge has adopted the CryEngine 3. Will it be implemented in the 3rd CBT?
    A. CryEngine 3 has already been implemented in most ArcheAge's physics, animation and graphics, and even more will be implemented soon. CryEngine 3 is visually better than the predecessor and specializes in fast content development along with a great optimization, for more convenient gameplay. We will be using CryEngine 3 more extensively, to improve the quality of the contents.

    Q. Can I write my own book in ArcheAge?
    A. There are two different writing systems in ArcheAge. One way is to write a memo on a completed quest - since the completed quests will be logged as a story form, so you can always add a memo for interesting things, or things that need caution. Another way is to write a book to publish it later on. If you pay a certain fee, you can publish your own book, which will be kept in libraries, either you can sell the book for any price you want, or just give it to other players freely.

    Q. What's the meaning of the word "ArcheAge"?
    A. The word "ArcheAge" consists of two meanings. The "Arche" means "Beginning of the world", or simply "Beginning" and the other is "Age".

    Q. I have heard that I can give my labor power to others. Can I work for others using my labor power?
    A. You need labor power to produce and create in ArcheAge. Since there is a limit to one's maximum labor power, you will need to ask other people to help you build your own house or ship. One way of getting help is to pay others to buy their labor power. We have implemented a pre-payment system in ArcheAge, so that it will eliminate bad players, which use other people's labor power and then not pay them. You can become the best worker, if you work alot for other people.

    Q. I have heard that players can acquire a castle or a village. How can I acquire private land?
    A. Players can get their own private land by building a house or a farm. A player who owns a house will pay a tax according to the size of the house for its maintenance. If there is a feudal lord, the tax will be equal to what the lord has designated. If you do not pay taxes for a long time, your house might get demolished. Crops, which are produced by players that owns farms will be used in making all kinds of items, and will be the base for ArcheAge's economy system.

I think this is the most promising mmo to be honest; everything in the game seems really great so far.
My only concern with so much stuff is lag issues. They will have to achieve a tremendous amount of optimisation to make it run properly; guess we'll have to wait and see during open beta. November right ?

Yeah, the rumour is that OBT will be in November in Korea, and will launch is December/January.

I wouldn't expect to see in in EU/US until next summer though, sadly

I wouldn't expect to see a very small numbers beta in EU/NA till next summer. I don't expect an EU release of ArcheAge next year at all. If it does release next year that will be awesome, but I just don't see it. The wait is going to be a killer...... anyone else thinking about playing this on release in Korea ? (PM me if you are)

I'll definitely try to get an account for the open beta, knowledge of the best building spots will be priceless at release. I'd like to play at KR release also until EU if the game prove to be worthy during beta.

Not gonna make the same mistake and play on Korean servers, in korean, again. :p

I'd be up for it but I honestly think it would be a good idea to join an Active Korean guild if we do so, a guild without korean's in it won't support itself.

Language barrier is a big issue; lack of players during EU peak time; downtime/maintenance during EU peak time and most of all ping/latency related issues in both pvp and pve. For all these reasons; playing on a KR server AFTER EU release would badly split the guild roster i think.

Then again we'll see at OBT, the gameplay could be very bad despite the cool features ^^

    So true.

But yea, language barrier is not an issue as long as your willing to do some reading.

I must say this mmorpg really catches my attention.

I love sandbox mmos, and I think this will be a huge game if they implement everything announced so far.

I for one will try it, and if it delivers, then im hooked.

Seems the writing/publishing of books refers to the memo system as the reply in the post says. Seems like a good idea if it makes it into the released game as it means if you take the time to write up notes after you do each quest, you can then release the notes as a book type thing and make money off it. Not sure if it's ingame or real money, but it sounds like a great idea.
