I'm concerned, look at Piranha's gamelist. And Infinitegames, why don't I know about them? Wasn't Mechwarrior owned by Microsoft Game Studios? Trying to answer my own questions: http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticle.asp?searchid=18633 So from FASA it started, then it went to Microsoft. FASA took it back around 2007, FASA disbanded. Guy at Piranha Games took interest in the series and are now making Mechwarrior Online together with Smith & Thinker from the original Mechwarrior. Not expecting much out of it, but hoping I'm wrong. Think it'll end up like Duke Nukem tbh, modern but old..
i will not get hyped over this one but at as a cardboard, book and game veteran of battletech, I have to admit the idea has alot potential. epic background on the website btw.
Another carboard standup Battletech vet signing in Not confident that this will come to anything, it has been kicking about in Smith and Thinkers hands for some time. With solid development and heavy investment I could see it being an excellent MMO with some good PvE and PvP possibilities. However I suspect it will end up being weak. They should give it to a Korean or Japanese developer, they are pretty mad for robots and might make a decent project of it.
