Just buy these and write "WoW" on the side with a sharpie: http://www.ebuyer.com/160479-logitech-g35-headset-7-1-surround-sound-usb-981-000117
After you said on TS they need to be overly cute as they are for a young girl, I suggest these.... http://www.gamingangels.com/2010/07/sweetness-to-my-ears-hello-kitty-x-aerial7-headphones/
I'm not sure cute & WoW goes hand in hand though... KC you sure she wants cute ones and not just a WoW headset? I'd be disappointed if I wanted a WoW headset and would find something pink and fluffy instead... These look rather nice. Can be chosen for either alliance or horde.
I don't recommend the g35, no idea why everyone says they're so good especially when they are just so expensive. The 7.1 is a joke and the build quality hasn't wowed me for the price. If they were about £40 cheaper, I think I'd be happier. They just aren't amazing enough to spend £90 on. I was expecting so much more after people have said such great things about them but the sound quality is really no better than my previous £35 ones which I had no real reason to replace. My only guuess is that the cheaper wireless headsets are utter garbage. And no, mine aren't faulty.
Just checked out the amazon reviews and I'm glad they agree with me for the most part: http://www.amazon.co.uk/product-rev...iewpoints=1&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending
I have used G35 since they were released and have only broken one set so far, which Logitech replaced for free. The 7.1 is actually really good if you play games that require it or watch movies on your PC and don't have an actual surround sound system to use.
It's poor, I've used it in BO2. The only time it's good is when you do the virtual surround test simulation. I have real 5.1 connected to my TV and it's not even similar.
im still using my megalodon almost have it for 3 years now, its expensive as hell tho but i cant complain about it they do not look cute tho...
I almost bought that when I got my G35, but I had a headset in the past with an in-line controller and it broke after like a month, so I went G35 over Megalodon. How do you find it ? Decent ? Always wondered.
im realy happy with it actualy, its comfortable, lgith looks classy and the controller is handy. the sound quality is amazing and so is the suround cant realy compare it to other surround headsets tho since i didnt try any others but im verry pleased with the product eccept for the pricetag
Yeah I tried out a pair of Megaladons at Dreamhack last year and they're brilliant, hardly felt like I was wearing anything at all. Not really prepared to lay out £120 for a pair though I am in the market for a new headset mind, probably going to go with Sennheiser though which still aren't cheap but if you're going to spend over £100 on a headset I think its probably better to go with the specialists.
When I was younger and playing CS pretty hardcore, I only used Sennnheiser. I think I was unlucky though, as mine always seemed to break (losing audio in one ear due to cables breaking). When they were working though, they were the best headsets I ever had, just couldn't afford to keep replacing them as I was young at the time, so moved onto other brands and stuck with them.
To be honest, I expected the difference in sound when getting the g35 was going to be like putting on my first pair of sennheisers. It wasn't Quality audio but had the same durability issues.
