Does anyone have any experience with the engineer? I see a fair few sniper vids on youtube but none are engineer. From skills it seems very aoe dmg based, with a few dots but any more info would be appreciated.
The talent tree(s) to the far right is the talent tree that is shared between the two advanced classes, in this case Sniper and Operative both Agents from start.
Yes..... maybe I didn't make my question clear? The one to the far right is lethality for the IA's....I was wandering how the advanced sniper class Engineer plays, mainly from a pvp perspective.
Yeah I got your question, just checked now and saw the shared tree was Lethality but it wasn't to the far right on darthhater for Sniper. Borked.
haven't used any of the engineering tree's abilities (apart from the increased energy one) either time that I beta tested as a Sniper, can't help you I'm afraid.
No worries, seems the engineer will be a class that's not popular initially. That's makes it all the more interesting to me ^^
I'm gonna try this one out, it seems like a very fun class damage dosnt seem to be far behind marksman and if you need to move at all I think it'll surpass it for PvP it seems a little bit less bursty because of the lack of followthrough, but its seems its a lot more control in it will report back after I hit 50 and played it for a bit
I just dinged 30 and got followthrough. Seriously not sure if the other trees compare now but it might be worth giving a shot. I don't have that much mobility issues with instant snipe and followthrough. Plus overload shot and snares make mobility a little irrelevant. I feel a little glass cannonish for the most part if I'm in warzones... A sprint or some escape ability would be reasonably nice. I'm not a great fan of the looks of the lethality tree. The problem I can see ATM is sustained dps as I burn through energy so quickly it's hard to regen it fast enough.
sustained dps fixes itself when you get series of shots and watch your energy to weave in some regular rifle shots I think all specs are fairly comparable dps wise for pve at least lethality is funky, an all out dot spec, will probably dish out damage all over the place in pvp but wont kill anything by itself, looks like it could be fun tho, it has some pretty cool skills, a lot of utility and the likes
