How are you preparing for SWTOR?

For some of us its only 3 days away!
I just got my hands on the Star Wars sixlogy (just invented a new word) and watching it. should be done by the time the game comes out

how are the rest of you handling the wait?

I am handling the wait by reading up to decide which class to play on launch! Oh and finishing work so I can take leave for the rest of the year (prospects are not very good yet, need to put in more hours before launch!)

I have done the following:

• I bought the full blu ray set with all the extra footage
• i downloaded the full clone wars seasons
• i read the Revan book
• attempted to play KOTOR but decided it was too old
• started playing the force unleashed but realised I wouldn't have time to finish it with all that other stuff
• attempted to find a suitably tall jedi robe to fit my 6foot7 person, to wear while playing. no luck yet.

Dota (original flaming, noobing and winning), WoW (LFR deathwing farm lol), L2 (uninstalling as we speak) trolling forumz and yapping on TS <3

I think I have a fitting black robe for sith, zomg so gonna wear it while playing zomg - and look like a larper. >_>

My preparations for swtor are not going well....
I spent almost of the entire last week working looking at youtube vids and reading swtor forums...... i've now bought RAGE and will play that for a few days in the hope I don't go too insane waiting for this release.
I also plan, when the game comes out for me, which I've read will be evening time, to play at least for 36 hours straight so I need supplies. Lots and lots of supplies. My job allows me to do what I want.....and swtor takes priority (lol).
I may even sack the following day off work also, however I will need to sleep after the 36 hour stint, otherwise that's just crazyness.
Level 50 before new year?? Yes please.

I just keep changing builds untill release....
I am trying to finish SWFU on Sith Lord mode, not going to great xD
And am studying for my big interview in the meantime -.-

work work work. So i wont have to work from release till january. going great so far. I just don't think I'll get enough sleep to play through all nights on the first couple days as originally intended. Anyone able to recommend a suitable drug for that issue? caffeine is basically useless for me nowadays.

Ritalin always made sure I didn't sleep, try that xD

this week has gone quite fast to be honest

I don't consider myself a "lore geek" but when possilbe I prefer to be as informed about the background as possible of a mmo that I'm about to start playing. I know a fair amount of Star Wars trivia, but the old republic era is something I haven't really dug into except Kotor 1 and 2, so heres my plan:

I already did a fresh playthrough of Kotor 1 and 2 this summer, and it was really surprising how well the game held up, gameplay was. was greast seeing the worlds again, some of which will be featured in Swtor.

the timeline series that Bioware has done is excellent as a recap on what happened, especially if you have no intentions in readong the books/comics. so i highly recommend that : http://www.swtor.com/info/holonet/timeline , and then there's ofcourse the CGI trailers if you lived under a rock for the past years : http://www.swtor.com/info/story/setting

I read the most relevant books, so that means "Fatal Alliance" , "Decieved" and "Revan"

I got all the relevant comics aswell, that means "Tales of the Jedi" and "Knights of the Old Republic" to start with (got them as collected books) , and then theres the "threat of peace" and "blood of the empire" (both of which are free online) and the last part of that arc, "the lost suns".

I actually managed to persuade my gf to watch all 6 episodes of Star Wars with me (she hasn't seen them...!) before the end of the year! The downside is, I have to watch 6 movies chosen by her. I bet there's going to be Sex and the City movie, Gone with the wind, and other horrible shit like that >_>

Getting psyched up for the game with this guy, works like a charm!

Studying before release, no way I'll be able to once its out!
