you can change the health bars! guess I didn't check the preferences well enough
Yeah I saw this option in beta but didn't try it out, looks really useful for party/ops healing.
Oi epic good feature, i seen it as well but didnt bother trying it out. too bad you cant increase the debff icon size on the frames D:
Yeah its pretty neat, I really wish they'd add a smartcasting/mouseover option though and a stronger indication of curable debuffs but I would hope that these will be post-launch features as this is a really promising start in terms of UI functionality.
Speaking about addons, anyone know what the addon/UI policy will be for this game?
there arnt addons atm and think it'll be pretty strict
they said they would allow for alot more customization very soon
imo they need some things but if it gets to the whole WoW standard I'm gonna rage because that stuff is really over the top
Addons usually has two sides in games, and wow is a perfect example of it.
The functionality of certain addons is absolutely spot on, and even some addons are pretty madatory in raids etc.
However if you let people create their own addons at their own leisure like in wow, you get a shitload of problems each time a patch hits, addons fail, break and sometimes even give directly false information which screws the player over for weeks before the addon author decides to fix it.
Im all for smaller addons that doesnt really do anything but change the UI. But I must say I do prefer no addons what so ever, thes devs should instead monitor the forums for suggestions and implement it into the basic UI. That way shit dont break when a simple patch is released.
some stuff I'm really missing.
I'm looking at you tidybars!
But most importantly the game needs more hotbars. And better costumization on the actual toolbars!
Oh! and I want numbered cd on abilities! Is that really to much to ask?
I hear you mate, go post on the SWTOR forums
Isn't this the problem though? No addon should be mandatory to play the game..
I agree with you fully Tal, thats why I want the devs to think about whats needed before they let ppl make addons.
Raid timers actually got mandatory since they had to increase the harshness of the encounters cause the timers where to accurate which lead to a mandatory must of raiding timers.
it also makes the devs assume that you use raid timers, and they have to design around it
mods SHOULD be a quality of life thing, not completely game breaking - and there are far too many of them
I hope you get to customize the UI a lot, like RIFT, as much as that game was lol, it had the best customization. Also missing some nifty stuff in the UI, besides changing the size of it, target of target, cooldown counters, trinketbar?, damage meters, well yeah gimme some to play with.
warhammer had an awesome built in customizable ui
All I want is Some kind of damage meeters and moveable and scaleable UI
And cd counters on the bars with numbers
Maybe if you're nice and good santa can has fer u fer xmas m8???
oh ye, I completly forgot target of target.
Thats another thing I want!
As it stands though I'm not really looking forward to Aoe Tanking, Its gonna be hard to see whats actually on you and whats beating the shit out of some silly assassin (hi foxeh)
The TOT does really really suck. They surely will implement it for release because that's a huge flaw.
i hope they dont implement ToT its more fun like this
