    My fear about steam is what happens when Steam quits or goes banktrupt? Will I lose all my games? :(

    Yes, but he is actually right, it's kinda silly one has to use a platform like Steam in order to play non steam (valve?) games. I just do it because I have to.
    And the fact that I might lose my games some day fears me! :D

    You know nearly all steam games can be played in offline mode? Plus no doubt someone will patch steam to work if the impossible should happen.

    Plus don't most games work from the .exe in your steam folder?

    Btw no one is forcing anyone to use Steam, I just think it is quite irrational to be scared of a program that helps you sort and store your games.

    Bare in mind this is without the DLC, but tbh, it's still such a good deal and you don't need the DLC to enjoy the games, especially with the amount of mods out.
