G-Star 2011 is next week (running from November 10th till November 13th) so expect lots of new information next week about current and upcoming Korean games. In particular, I am hoping to see a load of new footage and details being released about ArcheAge which will have its 4th CBT this month also. In addition to ArcheAge, I am also hoping for a firm date to be given for the PvP patch for TERA on the KR servers which will introduce cross server rifting (similar to Aion rifting, but cross server, since the game is factionless). Here is the MMOSite roundup of what to expect at G-Star 2011. For those of you that cba to read it all, here is the tl;dr..... Lots of new Korean games coming out that will probably never retail outside of Korea. NCSoft not showing Blade & Soul and instead opting to show GW2 and a secret unnamed game. NCSoft's secret unnamed game expected to be Linage III.
The whole Lineage III think could be completely wrong, but that seems to be the hype on the interwebz atm.
Yea but before the reveal at G-Star the Korean media was calling it a "possible Linage III". It does look amazing though. Me = hyped.
Which it isn't lol ironicly Archage has more potential to be like what I would imagined L3 to have been, just so long as you can PK everyone on the server including guildies and party members!
OOOH Archlord 2... the first one kinda struggled due to the PvE being pretty bad and mob grinding but it had some pretty awesome open world PvP features, inter Guild Wars where you declared war on eachother for a set period and at end you had final scores and a winner! was carnage, you could PK anyone, you could set a bounty on other players and if players killed them they got rewarded! oh and there was seigesing for forts,, and then all the fort owner had a showdown in a big arena type event where the winners GM would be the server Acrhlord,,, become like abig transformer and could even change it from day yo night onthe server! If they keep alot fo these awesome features and make a decent MMO engine and game to base around it, it could turn out to be a very good game, here is hoping.
Yea Archlord 2 looks very interesting, but as you said, unless they have fixed the terrible slow paced PvE, then it won't be worth playing.
Yeah I can't remeber but I am sure it became either a bot game like L2 became or people just used very cleaver G15 setups in the end,, that likely killed off the game as the non botters/macro-ers quit due to being unable to compete.
nah these guys could farm rooms in dungeons faster than resapawn all day and night without dying on certain classes.
