djWHEAT Casting Guild Wars 2 PvP at PAX

    For those of you who were wondering how seriously ArenaNet were taking Guild Wars 2 as an e-sport, here’s another hint: E-sports casting legend djWHEAT (of Counter Strike, Quake, and Starcraft 2 fame) will be at the PAX Alienware booth casting some of the Guild Wars 2 PvP action!

    We’ve talked a lot about the importance of potential e-sports being spectator friendly, and the important role of commentators and casters like djWHEAT, so this is huge news. Having such a big name in e-sports being brought in at the premiere of the format, the very first time the public will see it, is a very promising sign.
    Keep checking back here for more details as they are announced. We’re still trying to find how if the matches will be streamed live, or recorded for release later.

    Im not really fond of the guy but im happy for GW2 and its seriousness in becoming an esport game.

    This is pretty epic tbh. Shows they are actually trying to make an effort with the whole e-sports thing as djWheat is a great caster.

    Question is...... do we get a cool caster for gamescom ?

    Holy hell this is getting big! Can't wait! I wonder how hard it is to cast a game you don't know much about. He will no doubt get provided with information but grasping it all by just studying is a damn hard thing to do.

    he most likely already has alpha access and is playing the game himself. I would not like to be thrown in to some new game i have never seen before and start casting :p lol
