Ah btw i forgot to mention that tomorrow will be the last 24h match, from saturday it will be a week long match.

I actually like the Ruins of Surmia name. Though if we do leave the server, it will truly be ruined for good. (I'm assuming AFTL and VotF would follow us.)

I think doing anything based on 24 hour scores is a huge mistake.

Don't know though. We don't have anyone truly defending beyond BOON's primetime. We usually lose everything. And if they got more time to PvE forts and stuff than our server, the point gap would just grow in a week long match wouldn't it? Sure we can start fortify the forts and such, but what does it help if there's nobody there?

Yeah it's not like the 24 hour score is a % Sample of what a true week long score would be putting the server in exactly the same position...

Pretty much agree with Doodle. It remains to be seen whether we can't swing the score in our favor with several evening dominations in one match. Which means we'll go into the nights with upgraded forts instead of everything being reset, plus we already make up huge chunks of the score while we raid.

The scoring system is flawed and I don't think moving to RoF wouldn't help. We'd just get to play less. We move to RoF and we're just another prime-time guild sat in the queue or causing others to be sat in the queue. As we know well, winning during prime time means very little with the way the scoring system works. The only real solution to becoming genuinely competitive would be to bring non-prime time guilds here to Surmia, where we know we can dominate prime and our selling point here is that the scrub ratio will be lower and we have less of a queue. Getting better guilds and players in to Surmia would be more advantageous to all parties than dog piling onto a higher pop server and becoming padding.

Either that or the scoring system needs to be changed so that it takes into account how much competition is in the zones. Anyone thinking there's some serious competitive element or potential to influence a win or ranking change beyond how many people (and secondly the standard of those people) playing off-peak is delusional.

We can try a new server to test the queues out, keep in mind that "only" the 24h matchup will end, not the free server transfers... right?

I've been hoping we could change server for good tbh, not due to the rankings at all (24h vs 1week shouldnt change much, after all we wipe the maps clean, leave the instances and they zerg it back), just pissed me off with all that KDS "queue the server up for dye matching" bs.
