Tekkit server downloads and essentials

If you do not follow these instructions to the letter you will not be joining the server any time soon. I will put this as easy as I can for you to follow. First of all you need to download the new Java, "but I have Java installed so I won't bother with that". You just failed to connect to the server because you didn't follow my instructions.

Java 32bit download

Once this is installed you are ready to move on to the next challenge.

Tekkit

Place this on your desktop and run the delightful program. It will then install the basic files needed to run tekkit in single player. Now when its finished on the left of the minecraft screen will be a picture of probably of technic, This is the single player version so we need to change this to tekkit in the selection box. Once this is done do not enter your login details yet or you will get errors and when you login next time you will not get a login screen at all. Instead hit the options button and select Always use developement build and then set memory to one quarter of your total memory. Now you can login and play on the server.

Texture Pack

Some of you may wish to add a nice texture pack to make the game more suitable to your needs. This can be done by first download a patcher called mcpatcher from here

All you need to do is run it and click patch. We can then add our texture pack too out game to make it look nicer. I reccomend starting with Sphax texture pack for Tekkit. This can be downloaded from

To install this you will need to hit start and in the search box type %appdata% and hit enter. This will bring you to your minecraft and .techniclauncher folders. Enter the .techniclauncher/tekkit/texturepacks folder and place your newly download sphax texture pack in there. This will now be available when you play the game in texture packs.


If you just skipped it all your probably wondering why you have no login to minecraft anymore. You will now need to hit start and search %appdata% This will take you to your minecraft folder and techniclauncher folders. In the techniclauncher folder you will have to delete the lastlogin file and follow the instructions properly this time.....

Haven't checked in a while but I believe tekkit has its own installation program now. So it's just a case of going to the tekkit website and downloading the program.

The server is now offline due to us being cheap gits.
