[Music] Epic music thread

Amazing yeah, been loving it since I saw it ^^ although if it wasn't for the artist and visuals it wouldn't half as cool.

Music may be defined according to various criteria including organization, pleasantness, intent, social construction, perceptual processes and engagement, universal aspects or family resemblances, and through contrast or negative definition.

My own position can be summarized in the following terms: just as music is whatever people choose to recognize as such, noise is whatever is recognized as disturbing, unpleasant, or both. And JPop / Kpop belongs to the latter.

Yes Music is as subjective as Art, but I believe that craft, skill, affinity to melody, scale impact and construction are key pillars to good music.

I for instance do not like Heavy Metal music, but I can appreciate a well crafted Heavy Metal song, as opposed to a bunch of skill less dickweeds, screaming into a mic and just strumming a single chord on a guitar. As in all things great, skill and craft are required to define the good from the bad, what is posted above shows neither.

@Saul But would you chose a well crafted song you don't like or a bad crafted song you like to listen to?

The biggest problem I have with vocaloid is that there are too many songs. I have got 40 gigs of it and yet to sort them out.
P.S. I stole the nick HatsuneMiku in hon in the end of closed beta. Someone was probably mad.

I don't listen to any bad crafted songs, so I would choose a well crafted song I don't like.

Why would you listen to things you don't like?

Like I say I don't like heavy Metal, but I can appreciate the skill and talent of say a Metallica Song. I wont like it, but I can appreciate the skill going into it.

Nope, Ive heard bad songs that are catchy, or repetitive to the point of being stuck in your head, but I would never buy, download, or deliberately sit down and listen to them.

So you ignore songs just because they are bad?

Yeah like I ignore games that are bad, or movies that are bad, or cars that are bad, etc, etc. I know of them, I may have even watched a trailer, played a demo, but if it's bad I will avoid it, like I avoid bad music.
