You may notice tomorrow when you login that your town has gone again due to the fact that when the server struck 12 all towns failed to pay their upkeep just delete your town by /town delete and then add one with /town new [name]
I'll write up a guide for admins over the weekend but /ta givebonus townname amount will grant extra town squares /town claim outpost allows you to claim land not attached to your main city for a high cost. Outposts are expensive to maintain but obv admins can grant themselves lots of money.

Nice. Looks like we REALLY need to get the shop/vendor's working and the mob hunting/questing system working so we can get the cash in.
It does work Shops you create the sign like the guide showed above a box, then lock the box with lwc and right click the sign to buy/sell Switch between buy and sell with /buy and /sell Mobs give 1coin for skellies/zombs 2 coin for spiders 3 coin for creepers
Oh and don't make shops for common stuff or you will end up very poor as no one will bother buying dirt etc and only sell. Could ofc make one person the "server" and use them to protect the cartways, boats, hotel etc and give them shit loads of cash so the shops can sell/buy crap and never run out of coin.
also was thinking of using someone's plot of land as a kind of bank. we give this area a load of money in which they create bank chests which give players money for their old cobblestone etc.

We will need to agree to not create shops full of op command granted items as we would screw the economy. Only the central bank with agreed prices should be kept stocked with admin granted items. Eg 1c per wood/dirt/cobblestone 2c per torch etc. Those prices will be a bit steeper than average but leaves the average Joe and us to create our own shops to sell stuff we have farmed legit and try to undercut etc.
when someone with admin gets online we will give you a load of coins. also a couple of questions. any chance of getting a sub forum for minecraft? also anyone know where we can get a mysql database from?
Lol my post is gone... I will make bridge today and big island for more space to build. Adagio did u think about changing texture pack. We can get somethnig better than we have now like 128x128HD or 256x256HD. If u will make it make sure it fit with what we build already.
also the plan is to go public this coming monday, so anything after that should be earned and created. ops will still be working but to be used for admin and emergencies, not to give yourself a diamond sword to whack a spider. so use the next 4 days to get your town the way you want it, give yourself a max 1000 coins to keep yourself from losing your town. i think you have to give your town some cash to pay the bills.
Also I notice new towns only cost 10 coin??? That gives no incentive to players to join existing towns to pay rent on plots to keep the towns alive. IMO new towns should cost more that an outpost as you get 16 slots and the benefit of healing etc, start with 20c which if we make plots 10c that let's people buy 1 plot and some torches to start off. Then after a few hours of building and expanding and selling ore they may get enough to start a new town of their own.
Texture packs are client side. TNT doesn't need to be removed as even If someone blows shit up they can't destroy our towns and protected areas. Worst they can do is make holes in the wilderness which we can fill easy enough. Also there is a command... I'll look it up tonight, which allows you to select an area with the //wand and it will fill the area exactly as it was when the map was first made.
