Last month, Chris Lye announced our big convention plans for the summer. Today I’m here to talk about our first stop of the convention season, the San Diego Comic-Con International (July 22 – 25).

This year we’re spotlighting the art, writing, and design of Guild Wars 2 at the NCsoft booth (#5345), which we’re sharing with our friends at City of Heroes and Aion. We’ll bring you Guild Wars 2 autograph sessions at the booth on Friday and Saturday as well as a fascinating, in-depth panel about Guild Wars 2 on Saturday afternoon.

Last week, we announced details of our very first Guild Wars novel, Ghosts of Ascalon, written by Matt Forbeck and Jeff Grubb. I’m excited to announce that we’ll be giving away a very limited number of copies of Ghosts of Ascalon at our booth. Previously, we had announced that co-author Matt Forbeck would be there to sign copies, but unfortunately he is unable to attend Comic-Con this year. Not to worry, though! Jeff Grubb and cover artist Rich Anderson will be signing copies of the book at the NCsoft booth!

If you’d like to get your hands on a copy of Ghosts of Ascalon a few days before it hits stores, head over to our booth on Friday or Saturday for the autograph sessions. Quantities are super limited, so make sure to get there early!

We’ll also be giving away limited quantities of our gorgeous hardback art book, The Art of Guild Wars 2. The very talented Kekai Kotaki, Kristen Perry, and Rich Anderson will all be signing copies of the art book and talking to fans at the booth on Friday and Saturday. Again, quantities are limited, and when they’re gone, they’re gone!

Last but not least, we’re presenting a panel about Guild Wars 2 on Saturday. Attendees will learn more about the dynamic event system, combat and skills, new playable races, and dive deeper into the lore and rich world design that will make Guild Wars 2 such an incredible gaming experience. Key ArenaNet creators such as Design Director James Phinney, Game Designer Jeff Grubb, and Concept Art Lead Kekai Kotaki will discuss Guild Wars 2 from an artistic, design, and gameplay perspective. Space is limited, so arrive early!
