    Depends on the DLC.
If ME3 is an incomplete story without DLC then yes, it's BAD
But if the DLC is OP weapons and armour (single player) or exp boosts and or cosmetic items, then really it's just the equivalent of paying extra for a first edition copy of a book (after a few years). You get the same content, one just is more expensive and holds bragging rights.

I only hope ME3 takes the latter approach, but Sauls post concerns me.

I'm one of those players who very rarely go back to a game once I have completed the main storyline. I devour the story and then when its done I find little to go back for.

So for the devs to then add side quests is pointless to me. Don't think I have heard of a dlc that has impacted main story yet. Although I know several ppl who have too play through games multiple times so it may benefit them but I'm not one of them.

    Ok Fanboi head on now...

"Lair of the Shadow Broker" is a large £7.00 DLC and without it you miss several quite important things that are integral to the Mass Effect Story.

    1. You meet up with and conclude a huge story line involving Liara T'Soni. If you romanced Liara or not in ME1 you are left with an open ended scenario where there is no proper explanation as to why she is not part of the Crew in ME2, unless you buy the "Lair of The Shadow Broker" DLC.

    2. The Shadow broker is inter woven in the main story of ME2, but whereabouts and other important information, including the whereabouts of Liana T'Soni who could be your lover if you romanced her in ME1, is missing without buying LotSB and leaves an unfinished taste in your mouth with reference to the Shadow Broker. Yes you meet Liana without buying the DLC, but she creates more loose ends than actually concluding anything, unless you buy LotSB.

    3. There is also unique Dialogue with Liana that informs Shepard of Tali's true feelings for him and again is unfinished business if not explored through LotSB.

Whilst I have no issues with weapon and armour packs as DLC, etc, ME2 included (Stolen Memory), (Overlord), (Arrival), (Shadow Broker), all 4 of these DLC's had major story and content updates that enhanced the original Story and not just skins, texture packs, and the odd weapon, etc. Stolen Memory gave you a whole new Crew Member ffs and as mentioned Shadow Broker concluded some major story arcs otherwise left open.

Logic dictates that space bar is the biggest button so it should have more uses.

I can agree on MP maps DLCs being stupid, but whats wrong with paying for some story DLCs? Hell, all of those 4 ME2 DLCs mentioned together cost about as much as a ticket for a 3D-movie, but offer much better entertainment. Don't see whats wrong with that.

In ME its ok but sometimes w/o DLC game has no ending (Mafia 2) and this is really stupid.

I played mafia 1 as well back when it was released in 2002 and it was incredible. But I read the reviews of mafia 2 and didnt wanna spoil the good memories I had so I didn't bother playing it
