The stuff I put together should only set you back £360 , that is unless you want a much more powerful system and you dont mind ditching that GTX 460..(which is still a good card, you could also buy another to pair them up I suppose, you'll need a 700 ish watt PSU then)

Link me a shop you buy stuff at and I'll provide you with the links :) (or shopping cart)

Thread is an hour old already and no Nvidia propaganda from Fallanx.... He is either on baby duty or the world is coming to an end.

Chops has a 460... the 560 is barely faster, just a little quieter and power efficient

I got my old PC working but it can GTFO now its history... replaced,,, a bit like Aspira. As for the wife is already convinced. Fallanx and Evai's clearly looked big and impressive and my wife felt she was missing out with my little fella.... wait.. are we still talking about computers?

Just do roughly the same build me and Fizzee did. A I5 2500k that easily overclocks to 4.6ghz. A corsair H60 cooler. A nice mobo i went for a gigabyte but its all personal preference and and another 460 to make the system fly. A 8gb memory also :d

Get what Pete said but I don agree with the SSD or PSU. At least get something 650W by a decent brand that tend to specialise in PSUs.

Get a Be Quiet one or a PC Power and Cooling.

Also I think the g-skill ripsaws are going pretty cheap for 8th ram.

Also do not get a corsair H-whatever. I have the h50-1 and it's an overpriced heap of crap. Supposed to be quieter and cooler than a normal heatsink. Except it uses the same fans and has a pump, so it's actually louder. There's way better air coolers for cheaper or similar price.

    I prefer Sniper to Ripjaw.

As for PSU, I agree with Tal, get a brand name that specialise in PSU's. The one thing you don't want to skimp on when it comes to building a PC is the PSU, as a cheap PSU can cause loads of problems if it goes bang. However, you can fall victim to what I did..... I buyt an antec Quattro 850 like 2 years ago because it had yellow racing stripes painted on it.

Makes the PSU go faster you know!!!!
