My friend is after a PC to play some current games. he's not after running them on the highest settings, but something managable.

Budget is £350-£450. Lower is better.

I'm researching myself, but I'm not used to the budget end of buying PC's. I've never spent less than like £1500 on one of mine. If anyone has seen/does see any offers or something worth pointing out, please let me know!

In that price range a second hand is probably the best value for money.
All in all I would advise against it, the machine won't last long.

Have made ~800 euro pc's before (~630 pounds) but I wouldn't suggest going much lower.

I recently changed some parts of my PC i think it might be around this budget, but i don't know what are the prices in ur forsaken country :p So there it is

    Procesor: intel core i5 650 3.20 GHz
Memory: from some weird country company so u might check for some else :p but it is DDR3 1333MHz 2GBx4
    Motherboard: GIGABYTE Q57M-S2H Socket 1156
    CPU Cooler: Fortis HE1225
Graphic: didn't change it tho but it is GeForce GTX 260
Hard drive: thats just depends on how much space he want is guess,
    AC: can't remember :p

So thats all, it my set up which was pretty cheap and i'm running gamez smooth ofc it could be better but it's good enough for me. Hope it's gona help you at lest a bit :smug:

For that range of price go eBay. To buy new puts you in Intel i3 or amd bulldozer range. EBay may well put you in i5 area performance although you will have a weak graphics card unless you can pickup maybe a NVIDIA 460gtx for 40 to 50 quid.
