BioWare's Star Wars: The Old Republic has hit the ground running. As part of itsholiday-quarter financial announcement this afternoon, publisher Electronic Arts announced that the massively multiplayer online role-playing game has sold more than 2 million copies.
Additionally, of the 2 million copies sold, EA said 1.7 million are "active" subscribers of The Old Republic. That figure is well ahead of the 500,000 subscribers EA previously said it needed to make the game "substantially profitable."
